Ballet is a theatrical art form using dancing, music, and scenery to convey a story, theme, or atmosphere in which conventional poses and steps are combined with light flowing figures (such as leaps and turns)
This helps students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in ballet.
ballet has numerous health benefits including increased flexibility, good posture, strength and musicality
The class consists of centre barre work working on strength and technique, centre work, corner work and allegro. We also work towards performances throughout the year.
Street dance is a style of dancing with energetic movements, Accented beats and syncopated rhythms are paired with strong, sharp (percussive) contractions of the centre of body and other body parts, such as the elbows.
A routine based class that will provide students with the chance to learn exciting and current choreography to a wide variety of chart music. It includes different styles – hiphop, commercial, whacking, breakdance and tricks. We also work towards performances throughout the year.
Musical theatre is a genre of theatre where music plays a major role in moving the story forward. In addition to the actors, directors, designers, and others who are involved in any professional theatre production, musical theatre requires specialized artists and technicians.
In this class its broken up into 3 different elements – dancing, singing, acting. In dance we work on technique and musicality, singing we work on a song from different musicals and for acting we work on different genres of theatre.
Dance fit An upbeat cardio, strength and conditioning and stretch class. It's an aerobic workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity. This includes HIT workouts, toning different parts of the body and stretching at the end to keep the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints.
